This morning (May 29), our star erupted the most since October 2017, launched by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).
Solar flares emit radiation emitted from sunlight, there are temporary dark and relatively cool patches on the solar surface that are very strong in magnetic fields. Scientists classify strong flames into three types: C, M, and X. Each class is 10 times more powerful than its subordinates. M flares are 10 times stronger than C flames, but X is 10 times weaker than Class I events.

The sun may be rising too late in its sleep. This morning (May 29), our star had its highest flare since October 2017. Solar flares emit light, which is a temporary dark and relatively cool patch on the solar surface. Scientists classify strong flames into three types: C, M, and X.
Each class is 10 times more powerful than its own class. M flares are 10 times stronger than C flames, but X is 10 times weaker than Class I events. Today's outburst was an M-class explosion, so it wasn't a monster. And its purpose was not on the ground, so there is no possibility of supercharged orbits. But the eruption could still be a sign that the sun is rising to a more active phase of its 11-year activity cycle, NASA officials said.
If so, the current cycle, known as the Solar Cycle 24, is already over. Scientists tie the beginnings of new cycles to "solar minimums," when the sun plays with very few sun locations and minimal activity. However, after at least six months of solar observations and sunspot counts to find out when it happened. NASA officials wrote in an update today about the detection of the SDO outbreak. Because this minimum is defined by the lowest number in the cycle. Scientists need to see a steady increase in numbers before they can determine who they were at last.
Officials added. This means that the sun is at least an example that can only be recognized by sight. It can take six to 12 months to verify this fact when at least some time has elapsed.
